Wow I didn’t even know there had even been drama, but I’m glad you’re taking care of your own needs, you don’t want what’s supposed to be a fun pastime to take a toll on your psyche. I also know from personal experience that eliminating parts of your life that makes you unhappy can help or even cure depression entirely.
That said, I’m really sorry to hear you’re unhappy, I hope I haven’t inadvertently contributed to anything negative in guild. I’ll really miss seeing you in game— hope you’ll remain on tumblr, cos you are fuckin cool and your artwork is really inspiring
thank you, that is super kind ;u; and it’s not like i’m not going to miss anyone or the guild chat adventures, because man i sure as hell will. but like you said, i simply needed to do this to sort myself out. and with that, i felt the most drastic action was, perhaps, the best course to take. we’ll see in time if i am right or not.
i love you eiji and i’m not going anywhere, not here or on the server and it doesn’t mean I’LL NEVER PLAY WITH ANYONE IN THE GUILD EVER AGAIN OMG because i will <3 and to anyone else reading this: no one has done anything wrong in particular, it’s been a steady build of various reasons. that said, strikeslip will make an awesome GM, she’s got some great stuff planned :)
My current plans mostly consist of ordering takeout. AND THEN OH SHIT TONS OF GUILD STUFF, but ahahaha, my god, this was all sprung on me today. I am as confused as pretty much everyone else combined.
HOWEVER!
I would just like to point out that no bridges have been burnt; we are still all bridges all up everywhere in this place, and if someday roy and erkal and zemire and arcturis and whoever wants their guild tags back so they can loot our 5,000 investigation crafting missions in the bank and suchlike, they will be welcome.
The important thing is enjoying the game. And now it is my job to help people do that, so, for example, if starkhaven chrispistols insisted on staying in the guild and being miserable and messing her head up more, I would have to boot her. And I would do it.
HAVE FUN and if you are not having fun, come to me and I will try to help. I have excellent shit kicking boots, they are pretty much made out of fun. Maybe I will post pictures of them later.

DOI/SFP guild related musings
Behind the cut as I know not everyone who follows me is here for guild stuff.
In relation to Operations, Hard Modes, and the like…
Experienced WoW raider’s POV on DOI and SFP’s current endgame status:
- Issues of potentially more volunteers than raid slots, volunteers being split across factions.
- These issues are going to happen or I will eat my hat. They are already happening.
- Need to find someone to raid lead: they watch the videos, they explain things to people, they watch the execution to see what goes wrong. Ideally someone who can cheer people up after deaths also.
- Need loot rules and a master looter. They need to know what every class uses; often the raid leader can do this since they also need to know every class, but it slows the group down since they also need to be leading people to the next boss.
- a good casual ops time is two hours with a break in the middle.
- A basic raid readiness measure is 15k health while stacking your primary stat, but we could probably take on the starter raid in recruit pvp sets, crafted epics, and oranges with crafted mods. Plus whatever we’re getting from normals right now, and if we start HMs, some of that. HM fps are equivalent to the story mode raids. Easiest for Imp side is BT, taral 5 for pub side -> handy info to know.
- the starter raid is story mode EV, minus soa. 2 tanks, 2 healers, 4 dps.
- I am not actually sure about that raid comp, it might only be 1 tank. Bioware seems to have mixed it up on a lot of fights.
- I think the best thing to do is wait for dual spec and having enough 50s on both factions, then start both factions off at once. Given time, I should be able to raid lead republic side, and I think Zalaaca might be willing to take empire side? Or I will have a 50 over there by 1.3. Also we will be able to swap from 1 tank to 2 tanks to no tanks as appropriate. If dual spec isn’t coming in 1.3, I dunno.
- I do not think the guild is currently in a state where we could raid.
- First we should try some hard modes, also I am not currently in a state where I could raid lead and I don’t know who else has the experience for it since Thries is inactive.
Raid leading is a huge pain: you need to know all the classes, all the mechanics, and the people themselves, you need to be social, you need to make hard decisions like benching people when appropriate and people need to trust you on them. I am currently on a med that knocks me out for like 12 hours so I’m missing a lot of late night guild activity and also I don’t know enough about the 50s empire side. I can try to put something together eventually, in fact, I promise I will, but we’re going slow here, okay?

1. Write a Headcanon entry on the IJ!
- We all have new alts with 1.2 and some of us haven’t even written up entries for our mains. Fix that! A name, a class and AC, maybe an age and a few lines about how you make your class choices— you don’t need to get fancy here, but I want to see your characters in the database! You can find a guide to using IJ formating here if that helps.
2. Comment on a Headcanon entry on the IJ!
- We might all be friends on vent, but who are we in character? Negotiate alliances and rivalries to get some RP started! Seek mentors or students, classmates or competitors… every base comment on a headcanon posted during the contest gets your name down on the list, yes— multiple times! I’m only going to track comments on headcanons posted after 1.2 however. Anything before that, you’ll need to point it out to me.
The contest will run from today, the 17th to next Wednesday, the 25th, at which point we will all be receiving tauntauns anyway because Bioware loves us.
I’ll do one roll for headcanons and one roll for commenting, and the random winners with receive the Taun Fawn codes. Also, people who already have codes can still qualify if they want to give the code to someone else, or they can ask me to take their name out of the running/reroll.

A simple trip to the neutral GTN quickly became something more as the entire guild realized how long we’d gone without Naked Dance Times. (Almost a whole week!?)
- Erkal’s gun is longer than mine, damnit.
- THE HAT was present.
- There were several explanations of the blowjob-effect from the A New Meme videos. I would say they were hands-on explanations but hands really weren’t involved.
- Quote of the night for me, probably: “Let’s just use Click as furniture.”
