Secret of Kells is on Hulu?! I have wanted to watch this forever and ever! So many things I like:
- fight scene based on drawing.
- 2d and 3d animation used together smoothly.
- multiple mythologies acknowledging each other.
- it’s about a book okay, I love books.
- Also I love drawing.
- And cats.
- and pretty colors!!!!
- and when tropes are overturned seamlessly.
- Did I mention pretty colors?

It’s homestuck on my blog! And not SW:TOR! Crazy!
Anyway, this is part of a tarot series that is getting pretty full and it is totally awesome. I love the simple art style, reminiscent of hussie, and yet not. I also love the symbolism instead of callbacks aspect, because HS is genius in its use of callbacks, but more traditional symbolism (like tarot!) is also something I appreciate!

I finished my <Declaration of Independence> Trooper’s Headcanon! Complete with silly doodles, extra tattoos, and …okay, actually it’s pretty short. But hey!
Bioware: Okay, so now you’re going to kill your chapter 1 villain and finally get revenge for the theft of your ship and all those mercenaries he hired to kill you and steal your treasure—
Me: Nope.
Bioware: …what do you mean, nope?
Me: HEADCANON TIME, BABY!
Me: So he’s darkside, and I’m darkside— and I was thinking I could really use a companion that was cool with my alignment decisions—
Bioware: Seriously, we don’t have the resources to program in all the backstabbing that’d happen if you went through with this.
Me: Just let me call in a favor from my old friend, Senator Barc on Corsucant, and you won’t have to worry about that!
Bioware: Senator Barc? Wait, wait, wait. You can’t use a slave collar on someone. You’re the smuggler. Freedom is the only thing more important than credits!
Me: Bowdaar miiiiiight be be a little irritated, yeah.
Bioware: Bowdaar is going to be incredibly irritated.
Me: But he hates Skavak! And I will make up as much blather about mercy and chances at redemption as anybody could ever want. And I will bullshit any quest giver that calls me out on my companion likewise. Smugglers are good at that.
Bioware: And what about Corso? And Risha? And the five companion limit?
Me: You know you want to write more insulting banter between Corso and Skavak. Number one reason why this is a good idea, right there. They will make every cut scene awesome. And Risha… she can go off and do princess things. I remember Nok Drayen and crew being pretty hard on slavery from Vette’s quests, and she has some good reasons not to hang around Skavak. It’s not like she’s displayed much personality yet anyway.
Bioware: Trade a gunslinger companion for a gunslinger companion? Well, it’s balanced, we suppose.
Me: …Unlike the number of companion romance arcs you put in for the male and female smugglers.
Bioware: Uh oh.
Me: Darkside Six, here I come!

Some SWTOR doodles and associated thoughts.
- I miss my sassy Quinn. Dailies would be so much better if there was a little companion quest at the end of each round where he said dismissive things about the planet like he used to do.
- I think I have finally decided how I want to draw my Sith Warrior’s tattoos. Damn, but that took long enough.
- Does it weird anyone else out that Skavak and Hunter have the same chest armor (plus or minus a shoulderpad) or is that just me?
